The live-action wrap-arounds were filmed and edited, the track was recorded, then the animation/production company declared bankruptcy. Finally... the rights have been fully secured by the original creative team.
A recent Kickstarter campaign enabled the original writer/director, Roger Holzberg, now a professor at the California Institute of the Arts, to assemble a multi-disciplinary team of young artists to reimagine the project and fulfill the mission to give The Magic 7 as a gift to the children of the world.
